THREE OF THE MOST ATTRACTIVE TRENDS IN GRAPHIC DESIGN

 Design innovations do not come from nothing. They are the result of technological development, pop culture and the political climate. Here are three trends that are pretty important. At least according to industry experts:

1. ORGANIC DESIGN

The demand for organic food and any organic products is not new. This fashion has taken over the world for years and nowadays won’t be any exception. The need for organic does not excetpt the design. The design should be clean and minimalistic. Here's an explanation of why vintage design is more trendy than ever. The classic simplicity and clean lines create a sense of home, comfort and childhood. And this helps the brand to wrap its image in nostalgic warmth. The predictions are that this fashion will also be transferred to photography. Overflowing with Facebook Live and similar tools, people will be looking for more and more photos that are less poserous, as realistic as possible, far from perfect and filled with emotional moments.

 

2. MOBILITY BEFORE EVERYONE

The tendency to browse everything on our mobile devices has increased dramatically. The variety of the type of devices and the size of their screens – also increased. This created a number of problems with the use of traditional websites and gave birth to responsive, "mobile-friendly design". Last year, the number of people accessing the Internet through their mobile devices was significantly higher than the number of people browsing through their desktops. So officially (and statistically) the world is moving to mobile-friendly design. It is estimated that this year, when designing for their new website, companies will first think about how it will look on IPnone, and then think about its desktop version. Looking at the design of the logos, for example, will mean that companies will continue to revise their logos, making them simpler, more optimized for different types of devices and, of course, instantly recognizable.

 

3. ANIMATION

In 2017, believe it or not, it was the 30th anniversary of the GIF format. Marketers 'and consumers' sympathies with this format will not diminish, so be prepared for the trend of using it in the coming year. GIFs add a touch of interest to ads, newsletters, illustrations, icons and logos. Animated logos have become fashionable in their own way, and it's easy to see why: they're extremely attractive.
